Being a big fan of DVD, I have watched over the years the slow and painful death of VHS. When I played my first DVD I also had the same movie on VHS. At a family party I switched the TV input from the VHS to the DVD player to show friends and family the difference. Although most in the room conceded that the DVD was a better picture then still weren't convinced VHS would be replaced. They were dead wrong. 2006 was the last year that a Hollywood movie was released on VHS. It took about 10 years for DVD to kill VHS and now it looks like it will take half that amount for Blu-Ray and digital downloads to kill DVD. And so it goes...
